Additional Information for Camp Participants

Additional Information for Camp Participants

Thank you for your participation in the 2019 Saint Mary’s Hockey Camp at Saint Mary’s University. Here is some camp information that you may find helpful.  First, we will check-in between 2:00-3:30 PM in the lobby of the rink at Saint Mary’s University.  During this time, the kids will move their clothes into their dorm room as well as moving their hockey equipment into the locker rooms.  The dorm rooms come with beds, blankets, and pillows.  Sheets are not provided by the Saint Mary's University Camps and Conferences office; therefore, you will need to bring sheets or a sleeping bag for the bed.  You may want to bring a fan for the room as the dorm is not air conditioned..  Please do not bring video games (Play Station, Xbox, Wii) or laptop computers.  These are targets for theft.  We have a Wii and Xbox, that will be available for the kids to play during dorm times.  I do not want anything to happen to their games or equipment.  iPods, digital cameras, and other electronics are not encouraged.  If you do bring them, it will be at your own risk.  Saint Mary's University and/or Saint Mary’s Hockey Camp are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.  At 3:30 PM, we will have an orientation meeting for parents and players to give some last minute information and answer all questions.  At 4:00 PM, we will have a dorm meeting with the campers to go over policies and procedures in the dorm.  We will eat dinner at 5:00 PM and be on the ice for a skills session that evening.

Please download and complete the medical history and liability release form from our website if you have not done so already (http://www.saintmaryshockeycamp.com/page/show/841952-additional-forms-needed-for-participants).  We need to have a photocopy (front and back) of your child’s medical card in case of an emergency.  If your child is on any prescription medication, please reply to this email.  We do have an additional form that needs to be completed so that we are absolutely sure of the dosages.  If you have any questions on items not listed, please feel free to contact me.

We will have concessions for the kids to purchase snacks, drinks, pizzas, and other things in the dorm.  In order to eliminate the need for the kids to carry money, we will have a “banking system” where we hold their money, so that they do not lose it.  This can be arranged upon arrival at check-in.
